Denver Skatepark

If you’re planning to skate, bring your own gear. There can be rentals nearby, but it's better to save a few bucks and just bring your own stuff if you can

I suggest getting there around 10 AM before it gets too crowded... I hit it just in time and had the place almost to myself for a while... It was awesome!

Don’t forget sunscreen! Even if it’s a bit cloudy I ended up getting sunburnt just from hanging out. A hat would be a great idea too!
Denver Skate Park
I recommend hitting up the park around 10 AM before it gets super crowded. The morning light is also great for those Insta pics!

If you're new to skating, I'd suggest checking out the smaller ramps first. I made the mistake of going straight for the big stuff and it didn’t end well!

Make sure to bring some snacks and water. The park doesn't have many food options nearby, and trust me, you don't wanna spend extra cash for a soda
Aspen Highlands Ski Resort

My advice is to explore the less popular trails. I found some hidden gems that weren't crowded at all and had incredible views. Totally worth it!

If you're planning to eat on the mountain, try to pack some snacks! The on-site food can be pricey and doesn't always deliver on quality
Aspen Mountain

My advice is to take the trails to the right of the main lift. They were far less crowded and had some hidden gems that made my skiing experience way more enjoyable!

Try to make it up the mountain by 9:00 AM. The lines for the lifts get super long as the day goes on, and you want to maximize your runs!
Rushmore Tramway Adventures

Pack some snacks and drinks if you can. The food options are a bit pricey, and having a little picnic on the way up the tram was a nice break for me!

Don’t skip the zip line! It's super fun and the views are amazing, but you wanna make sure you have a good harness fit. I saw a few people struggle with that.
If you can, go on a weekday instead of the weekend. It's way less crowded, and you can enjoy the rides more. I went on a Friday, and it was a breeze!

Check out the sunset from the top. I almost missed it, but it was so worth it! Just make sure you plan your rides to have enough time before the park closes.
Silver Queen Gondola

I think renting your gear from a shop in town before hitting the slopes can save you a lot of time versus renting up at the mountain. I skipped this and regretted it - the lines were long!

If you want the best views, try to ride the gondola around 4 PM. The light is magical, and you'll get some killer photos! Just make sure to dress warm because it can get chilly.
Howelsen Hill Ski Area

Make sure to hit the slopes by 9 AM. I got there around 10 and the lines were already loooong and I wasted a good hour just waiting.
If you're looking to save some cash, I suggest grabbing a day pass instead of individual lift tickets; it seriously cuts down costs if you're planning to ski all day.

I recommend checking the snow report before you head out. I didn't, and was surprised by the lack of fresh snow! It made skiing a bit less fun than expected.
Royal Gorge Suspension Bridge
I think it's worth trying the zip line too. It gives you a thrill and an awesome view of the area. Just be ready to spend a little extra for that!

I recommend buying your tickets online in advance to save a few bucks and skip the lines. It made my entry super smooth.

If you get there early, like around 9 AM, you can enjoy the bridge with fewer crowds. Plus, the light in the morning is fantastic for photos!

My advice is to check the weather before you go. I went on a cloudy day and missed the stunning views of the gorge! Pretty disappointing.
Alamosa Skatepark

I recommend bringing your own water and snacks because there's not much nearby. I ended up wasting time looking for a store during my visit. Just pack some lunch and stay fueled for skating!

My advice is to go around 4 PM when the sun isn't too harsh. I made the mistake of going midday and it was super hot! The later time also had fewer kids which was nice.
