Breckenridge Ski Resort

I recommend hitting the slopes early, like around 8 AM. The lines are way shorter, and you can enjoy fresh powder before it gets tracked out. Trust me, it's totally worth it!

If you're planning to ski the terrain park, take it slow the first day. I tried going in too fast and ended up with a rough fall. It's a blasts, but just warm up on easier runs first!

I think you should take advantage of the free shuttle service around town. It makes getting to different slopes so much easier, and I didn't realize it was available until halfway through my trip. Don't miss it!
Vail Ski Resort

I recommend hitting the slopes right at 8:30 AM when they open. The fresh powder and less crowded trails made it so much more enjoyable. Plus, you can ski all morning without the big crowds showing up

I suggest you rent your gear in advance online. You can save quite a bit of cash this way, plus you won't waste time standing in long lines at the rental shops. It was a game-changer for us.

Check the weather before you go! We got caught in a snowstorm that came out of nowhere one day, and it messed up our plans. I think planning around the weather forecast would make for way better skiing days!
Keystone Resort

If you're not super experienced, I suggest booking a lesson on the first day. You'll learn faster and enjoy the slopes way more, instead of wasting time figuring things out on your own. Trust me!
You gotta try night skiing! It's an awesome experience, especially if you go around 5 PM, but be prepared for colder temps up there, so dress warm!
Aspen Snowmass Ski Resort

I suggest checking out the local food scene in Snowmass Village. Try the 'Skiers' BBQ' for a tasty lunch, but be ready for a bit of a wait during peak times.

My advice is to keep an eye on the weather. It can change quickly! I wore the wrong gear one day and it really put a damper on my fun.

I recommend hitting the slopes by 8:30 AM to avoid the crowds. The first run of the day is always the best and the lines are so much shorter!
Steamboat Ski Resort

I suggest getting lift tickets online in advance to save some cash. I paid way more at the window than I thought I would! Plus, you can avoid the long lines on busy days.

I think if you're renting gear, skip the on-mountain shops. Head into town instead; they have better prices and a wider variety. I got way better boots for less!
Beaver Creek Snow Resort

Bring your own snacks and water. The lodge prices can be steep, and having some munchies on hand saved me a good chunk of change.

Consider taking a lesson, even if you're not a beginner. The instructors are top-notch, and it really enhanced my skills and confidence on the slopes.
Ouray Ice Park
Telluride Ski Resort

If you're renting gear consider doing it in town instead of on the mountain. It's usually cheaper and you avoid the hassle of long lines at the ski shop on the slopes

I suggest downloading the Telluride app for live updates on lifts and conditions. It saved me a lot of time wandering around trying to figure out where to go next.

Grab lunch at one of the spots in town, like The Last Dollar Saloon. It’s cheaper than on-mountain dining and you'll get more local flavor!
Aspen Highlands Ski Resort

If you're planning to eat on the mountain, try to pack some snacks! The on-site food can be pricey and doesn't always deliver on quality
Aspen Mountain

My advice is to take the trails to the right of the main lift. They were far less crowded and had some hidden gems that made my skiing experience way more enjoyable!

Try to make it up the mountain by 9:00 AM. The lines for the lifts get super long as the day goes on, and you want to maximize your runs!
