Rock City
Plan your visit on a weekday if you can; weekends can get super crowded and slow you down. I went on a Tuesday and it felt like having the place almost to myself.
I think you should download the Rock City app before your visit. It helps with navigation and gives you info on all the lookout points so you won’t miss the best views!
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as some of the paths can be challenging. I thought I could manage with my flip-flops, and boy, was that a mistake!
Providence Canyon State Park
Don’t rush through the park. I suggest dedicating at least 4-5 hours to really enjoy the scenery and take plenty of pictures. The views are stunning but they take time to soak in!
Cascade Springs Game Reserve
Bring some snacks or a picnic if you can. Food inside the reserve can be a bit pricey, and the beautiful spots to munch are just everywhere. We saved a good chunk this way and enjoyed our lunch in peace.
Check out the marked trails before you go, so you don’t waste time figuring out where to go when you get there. I got a bit lost and missed out on some cool areas. It’s easy to do!
