My advice is to bring your own skates if you can. The rental prices can add up quickly, and my rented skates were a bit uncomfortable. Plus, you know your own skates will fit just right.

i suggest getting to franklin park ice arena around 4 pm if you're hoping to avoid the big crowds. my friends and i were there during prime time and it was super packed, making it hard to enjoy skating!
