Faneil Hall Marketplace

My advice is to save some cash by grabbing a quick snack and then exploring instead of sitting down for a full meal. You can treat yourself to desserts later on!

If you're planning to eat there my advice is to skip the more touristy spots. Try the food stalls in the Quincy Market – way better value and flavors.

I recommend checking out the street performers. They’re really talented and it’s a great way to soak up the vibe of the marketplace while resting your feet.

bring a water bottle! there are plenty of places to refill, and trust me, buying drinks there adds up quickly, especially on a hot day.
Museum of Science

I suggest checking out the website for special events before your visit. I stumbled on a cool science demo and it made my visit so much more memorable!
If you're into hands-on exhibits, hit those first! They can get crowded later in the day. Aim to start with them right when the museum opens.

It can get busy on weekends, so try to visit on a weekday if you can. Your experience will be way more enjoyable without dodging crowds, especially in the popular areas.
Boston Museum of Fine Arts

Pack some snacks... The cafe there is a bit overpriced, and I ended up spending more on a sandwich than I thought I would

Plan on about 3-4 hours to really soak everything in. I spent too little time the first round and missed some amazing pieces!

Download the museum app before your visit. The audio tours are super helpful, and I wish I had it handy to get a bit more context on the pieces I loved.

Don't miss the special exhibitions! I was so focused on the main galleries that I almost overlooked them, and I regret it. They're often the best part.
Harvard Square

Start your day early, around 9 AM, to beat the crowds and enjoy iconic spots like Harvard Yard and the Memorial Hall in peace. Trust me, it's way better without the hustle!

Wear comfy shoes! The cobblestone and brick streets are charming but can be tough on your feet. Trust me, I regretted my choice of footwear halfway through the day.

Check out the cool street performances in the square! I stumbled upon some fantastic musicians and it made my visit so much more enjoyable. Don’t forget to bring a few bucks for tips!

If you're looking for an affordable meal, hit up Clover Food Lab for some tasty vegetarian food. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious—and cheap—it was.
Bunker Hill Monument

My advice is to wear comfy shoes! Climbing all those steps to the top can be a workout, so be prepared for it!

I think you should check out the museum nearby after visiting the memorial. It's free and super informative, you'll learn a lot more about the battle!

I recommend getting there around 8 AM to beat the crowds. The view up top is great, and you get some quiet time to enjoy the monument without the hustle.

If you're planning to take photos, try to go during golden hour around sunset. The colors of the sky make for some truly stunning shots of the monument!
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

I recommend grabbing the audio guide; it really brings the exhibits to life. I learned so much more than I would have just walking around looking at things
Boston Children's Museum

Be sure to check out the Art Studio. It can get busy, but it's such a fun place for kids to express themselves. I’d suggest going there first when you arrive to get a spot!

I recommend bringing your own snacks. The café prices are a bit high and there’s not a ton of options. We packed some fruit and sandwiches which saved us money and kept the kids happy!
My advice is to wear comfy shoes. There’s a lot to explore, and you'll be on your feet most of the day. I didn’t and my feet were sore by the end!

I think parking can be a hassle, so I suggest taking the subway if you can. The museum is a short walk from the Boylston station and you won't have to deal with parking fees or traffic.
Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum

Bring your phone for photos during the reenactment – it's super interactive and makes for some hilarious moments. Just be mindful of the performers asking for no flash

Plan to spend around 2-3 hours here; there's more to see than you might think. I almost rushed through it but realized I didn’t want to miss anything!

I recommend getting there early, around 9 AM, to beat the crowds and have a more personal experience. The first tours fill up quick!
Boston Public Market

My advice is to explore the second floor too. I almost missed it, but it had some cool local crafts and amazing coffee. It was a nice break from the hustle of the main market.

I highly suggest checking out the rotating vendors. They have some of the best fresh produce and unique snacks! I tried something new, and it totally made my day.

I recommend bringing a reusable bag! Some vendors offer discounts for using them, and it's just better for the environment. Plus, you'll need something for all those goodies you'll want to buy!

If you're planning to grab a bite, avoid lunchtime rush around 12-1 PM. I waited forever to get my food. Aim for around 11, it's way less crowded!
Quincy Market

My advice is to try a few small bites from different stalls instead of committing to one big meal. I loved sampling various dishes, and it keeps things interesting!

If you want to enjoy some live music or performances, check the schedule. I discovered a great band by chance! But, I'd recommend looking it up ahead of time

I think grabbing a drink from one of the bars inside could save you some cash. The food prices can add up quickly, and it helps to budget a bit.
