Carlsbad Caverns
My advice is to wear good walking shoes. Some paths can get slippery, and you don’t want to risk a fall while marveling at the views.
Consider buying a national parks pass if you plan to visit other parks in the area. It saves you some cash!
If you're planning to take a lot of photos, a lightweight tripod is a lifesaver. The lighting in there can be tricky, and you’ll want to capture those stunning rock formations without blur.
Lechuguilla Cave
My advice is to wear sturdy shoes. Some areas can get slippery and I saw a few people slip during the tour. Trust me, you don’t want to be that person who can’t keep up with the group because they wore flip-flops
I suggest bringing a good camera; the formations are super cool but tough to capture in low light! I missed a ton of great shots because of my phone's flash. Also, don’t rush – the tour is about 3 hours but feels short for all the beauty.
