I suggest visiting on a weekday if you can. The weekends are packed, and it’s tough to get close to the bull. Plus, you’ll have a better chance to take cool pics.

I suggest heading to the nearby shops for souvenirs but avoid the ones right next to the park. They're overpriced! Walk a few blocks and you'll find much better deals.
