The Metropolitan Museum of Art

I suggest getting there right when it opens at 10 AM. It gets super crowded, and you'll get to see the masterpieces without bumping into too many ppl.

Don’t try to see everything in one go. I recommend picking 2-3 exhibits to focus on so u can really enjoy them instead of rushing through.

Bring your own snacks! The cafe prices are pretty steep. I had a perfect break with my packed lunch somewhere quiet in the museum.

Pro tip: if you're into photography, go on a Monday or Tuesday. The crowds are lighter, and you can get great shots of the art without hindrance.
National Memorial and Museum September 11

If you can visit on a weekday morning around 10 AM. It was much less crowded then and I had time to really absorb everything.

Check out the audio guide option! It's super informative and made my visit so much richer without having to hire a guide.

I suggest allowing at least 3 hours for your visit—there's so much to see, and you don't want to rush through it.

After exploring the museum, take some time to walk around the memorial pools outside. It's a peaceful way to reflect, and it's free!
The Slipper Room

Be aware of the two-drink minimum per person. I kind of forgot about it and it added a bit to my bill – just something to keep in mind!

Grab drinks before the show. I think the bar prices are a bit steep, so hitting up a nearby happy hour spot can save a few bucks

I suggest you arrive by 8 PM to snag a good spot. The later it gets, the more crowded it becomes and you might miss out on great performances from the start.
Maid of the Mist Boat Tour

If you can, buy your tickets online ahead of time. It’ll save you from standing in line and you might find some combo deals that save you cash.

After the boat tour, check out the observation tower nearby for another perspective of the falls. It's a chill way to cap off your visit.
I recommend arriving right when the tour opens around 9 AM. You'll beat the crowds and get better views of the falls without a ton of people in the way.
Statue of Liberty

If you want a great view of the statue, try to snag a spot on the right side of the ferry. I thought I could just move around, but it got crowded real quick!

Don’t forget to check the weather! I didn’t and ended up getting soaked on my way back to Manhattan. A little planning goes a long way

My advice is to visit during the week if you can. I went on a Saturday and the crowds were insane. It felt more rushed than relaxing.

I suggest taking the audio tour when you're on Liberty Island. It added so much to the experience and I felt like I was really learning about the history there.
Times Square

Grab a coffee at one of the small cafes off the main square before jumping into the madness. It’s way cheaper than the spots right in Times Square.

I suggest checking out the TKTS booth for discounted Broadway tickets. It saved me a bunch compared to buying directly from the theaters.
If you can, try to visit around 8 AM. The crowds are way smaller, and you can snap some great photos without too many people in the background.

Be cautious of street performers. They can be engaging, but some might ask for money after taking a pic with you. Enjoy them, but set boundaries!
Rockefeller Center

I wish I had known to wear comfy shoes. There’s a lot of walking and standing, especially if you want to explore the surrounding Rockefeller Plaza and catch the seasonal decorations or events
I recommend visiting during the weekdays, especially early in the morning around 9 am to avoid the weekend crowds. It's way more chill and you can actually enjoy the views without jostling for space.

While the observation deck is a must-do, I suggest also taking a walk around the area. The shops, including the famous Radio City Music Hall, are great, but keep an eye out for street performers. They can be really entertaining.

My advice is to time your visit around sunset. There's nothing like seeing the city turn from vibrant lights to twinkling stars, but book your ticket in advance to get that prime time!
Radio City Music Hall

I suggest checking out the seating chart in advance. I got lucky with a great seat, but some spots have obstructed views. Aim for the center if you can!

Grab a bite at one of the nearby delis or cafes before the show. Eating close by saves time and keeps you fueled for the fun ahead!

When you buy tickets, check for deals on the official website or reputable discount sites. I saved a decent amount compared to regular prices.

If you can, try to catch a weekday show instead of a weekend one. It felt less crowded, and you might snag cheaper tickets. Plus, the vibe is just as fantastic!
The Museum of Modern Art

I recommend checking if there's a specific exhibition you're excited about and prioritizing that first. I almost missed an amazing show because I got distracted by the other floors!

I suggest visiting on a weekday if you can. It gets super crowded on weekends and you’ll have a much better experience with fewer people around. Plus, you can take more Instagram-worthy photos without the rush.

Don't forget to visit the gift shop! I stumbled upon some unique souvenirs that were way more affordable than expected. It's a great place to pick up something special!

If you’re tight on budget, visit on Fridays after 5 PM when it's free. Just be prepared for larger crowds, but you save a good penny!
Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

Check out the free audio guides. I skipped them at first, but they really enhance the experience with interesting facts about each exhibit.

I recommend checking the museum’s website for any special events or exhibits. I stumbled upon a cool exhibit that wasn't advertised elsewhere!

If you're visiting with kids, look for the hands-on exhibits. They kept my kids engaged and made the whole experience more enjoyable.

I suggest going on a weekday if you can. The weekends can get pretty crowded, and I found it easier to explore the exhibits with fewer people around.
