Top Botanical Gardens in Texas

If you like certain plants or areas, take your time there. I rushed through some sections, only to realize later I wanted to linger more in the rose garden!

Bring a picnic! There are some lovely spots to sit and enjoy a snack among the flowers. Just make sure to pack out what you pack in to keep the place nice.

If you're visiting Zilker Botanical Garden, try to get there around 9 AM when they open. The morning light is beautiful for photos and it’s less crowded. I really enjoyed walking around without feeling rushed.

If you're planning to spend a good chunk of your day there, bring a picnic! There are lovely spots to relax without spending a fortune at the cafe.

Check out the events calendar before you go. I stumbled upon a free guided tour that made the experience way more enriching than wandering alone!

Don’t skip the little gift shop! They have unique local plants and souvenirs that won't break the bank.

I highly recommend getting there right when they open at 9 AM. It’s less crowded and the morning light makes for amazing photos!
