Definitely pack a picnic! The gardens are stunning and there are plenty of spots to relax and enjoy a meal without spending money on overpriced snacks.

My advice is to check the weather before you go. The grounds can be slippery after rain, and a little warning can save you from a muddy mess!

Plan to spend some time exploring the gardens. They’re beautiful and way less crowded than the castle itself, plus the Poison Garden is a must-see!
