Try to dive around 8 AM; the visibility is incredible in the morning plus you beat the crowds and can enjoy a more personal experience with your instructor
Bring your own snacks and water to the diving spots. The beach cafes can be pricey, and you want to stay fueled up without breaking the bank.
Check out the local diving schools before arriving; I found better rates and offers online than what was available in person. Booking in advance saved me some cash.
