If you're on a budget, I suggest going for midweek rentals. Prices drop significantly compared to weekend rates, and the slopes are less crowded too, which makes for a much nicer experience.

I think it's smart to check the weather ahead of time. If there's a storm coming or the conditions aren't great, you might want to consider changing your rental days to maximize your experience

I recommend booking your gear a few days in advance online to save some time when you get there. The lines can get long if you just walk in, and trust me, you don’t want to waste precious skiing time!
