Casa de Isla Negra

Don’t forget to wear comfy shoes. There are some steep paths around the house, and you’ll want to be ready to explore every nook and cranny without worrying about sore feet.

I suggest taking a guided tour if you can. The guides are super passionate about Neruda’s life and will share fun stories that you won’t find in the brochures!

Try to visit Casa de Isla Negra on a weekday, especially in the morning around 10 AM. The crowds are way lighter and you can really soak in the vibe of Neruda’s home without feeling rushed.

Bring a little snack and a drink with you! The place is stunning, and there are some nice spots to sit outside and enjoy a break with a view.
La Sebastiana House Museum - Pablo Neruda

I suggest getting the audio guide. It really brings Pablo Neruda's story and his unique style to life - I learned so much more than just wandering around.

Check the entry fee online before you go. I found out it was a bit cheaper on certain days, which helped me save a few bucks.

Don’t forget to bring your camera! The views from the top are AMAZING, and you'll want to capture them. I missed taking a few great shots because I forgot mine.

Try to visit on a weekday, like Tuesday or Wednesday - it's way less crowded. I did this and enjoyed the peace while exploring the house.
Baburizza Palace

If you're on a budget, grab a sandwich and drink from one of the nearby stores before heading in. The prices inside were a little steep, and it’s nice to enjoy your food while taking in the views from the terrace.

I recommend visiting Baburizza Palace on a weekday, preferably around 10 AM. It was way less crowded, and I could really enjoy the art without rushing. Plus, you might get better pics without all the people in the way!

My advice is to check out the quirky café inside the palace. It's got some great local pastries that aren't too pricy. I totally regret not trying the humita when I was there!
