Metz Cathedral
If you can, visit on a weekday morning around 10 AM. It was much quieter then and I got great shots of the stained glass without crowds in the way. Trust me, it's worth it!

Don't skip the crypt area! I almost did because I thought it would be uninteresting. It has some cool historical artifacts and gives you a different vibe of the Cathedral.

I suggest bringing a light jacket or sweater, as it can get a bit chilly inside the Cathedral, especially if you visit in the colder months. I wasn't prepared and regretted it!
German Gate

I recommend checking if there are any special events or exhibitions happening during your visit. It can really enrich your experience, and it’s usually posted on local tourism sites. I felt I missed out!

My advice is to bring a good camera. The architecture is gorgeous, and you'll want to capture every angle. Also, take a moment to explore the surrounding area, it's less touristy and really charming.

I suggest visiting the German Gate in the early morning, around 9 AM. You'll avoid crowds, and the morning light is perfect for photos. Trust me, the views are stunning!

Church of Saint-Pierre-aux-Nonnais

Fort Queuleu

If you're planning to explore the tunnels, bring a flashlight. It’s dim in some areas and can be a little tricky to navigate. I wish I had one - it would've saved me some hassle and made it way more enjoyable.

My advice is to take your time and really soak in the history. I rushed through my visit, but there's so much to see. Plan for at least 2 hours, especially if you want to grab some great pics too!
