Milan Cathedral

Try to visit on a weekday if you can, as weekends can get super crowded. I went on a Tuesday morning and it was way more pleasant and I got some nice photos without a ton of people in the background.

Don’t forget to grab a gelato from one of the stalls nearby when you finish your visit! It’s the perfect treat after exploring the cathedral.

Consider buying your tickets online in advance to skip the long lines. I waited about 30 minutes to get in, but I saw others waiting much longer.

Look for the hidden details in the façade. Make sure to take your time exploring; I almost missed some amazing sculptures because I was in a hurry.
Gallery of Victor Emmanuel II

Try to catch the live music performances if you're there on a weekend. It adds a lovely atmosphere and makes the experience more special.
Giuseppe Meazza
Arco della Pace

If you can, visit during the golden hour (around sunset) for some stunning views and magical photos. Just remember to bring your camera!

I suggest visiting in the early morning around 8 AM when the light is perfect for photos and there are fewer people. It makes the experience much more peaceful!

Bring a picnic! I saw lots of locals enjoying lunch on the grass. It’s a lovely way to absorb the atmosphere and save some cash too.

I think it's worth checking out the area on a weekday. Weekends can get quite crowded, and you might miss some details in the architecture.
Gae Aulenti Square
Royal Palace

My advice is to take your time in the art galleries inside. I rushed through because I was excited, and I missed some stunning pieces! Plan at least an hour just for that.

I suggest checking for temporary exhibits online before your visit. I missed one I really wanted to see because I didn't do my homework. Don't let that happen to you!

I really think the audio guide is a game changer. It gives you deets about the exhibits that you won't get otherwise. It's totally worth the little extra money, trust me.

If you can, get there around 3 PM. The late afternoon light in the courtyards is gorgeous for photos, and the crowds start to thin out, so you can explore more freely.
Santa Maria della Grazia

Try to time your visit for around 3 PM. The lighting inside the refectory where The Last Supper is located really makes a difference for photos. I got some nice shots with the sun just right!

I highly recommend booking your tickets online in advance. The lines can be long, especially during peak seasons, and you could save a good chunk of time! I was glad I did this.
Don’t forget to check out the church itself after seeing The Last Supper. It's stunning, and I was kinda surprised I enjoyed it just as much as the main attraction.

You should definitely consider going on a weekday if possible. The crowd was way smaller than when I went on a Saturday, making it so much easier to soak in the atmosphere.
Colonnade of San Lorenzo

Don’t forget to take a stroll around the area after your visit. There are some really unique shops and street art that you won’t wanna miss.

I suggest bringing a camera with a good zoom. The details in the architecture are stunning, and you'll want to capture everything up close.

If you’re into history, look up some interesting facts about the colonnade before your trip. It'll make your visit much more engaging.

If you can, go on a weekday morning around 9 AM. It’s way less crowded and you can snap some great pics without people in the way.
