Nai Harn Beach
If you plan to swim, check the tides beforehand. I didn’t and ended up caught in a rip current, which was a bit scary. Swimming is a lot better when you time it right.
I think you should explore the nearby food stalls. The local Thai dishes are delicious and way cheaper than the sit-down restaurants. Don't miss the pad thai and fresh spring rolls!
Karon Beach
Bring some cash! Not all beach vendors accept cards and having cash handy for beach chairs or food means no hassle. I learned this the hard way.
If you’re renting a scooter, avoid the main road during rush hours (8-9 AM and 5-6 PM) to dodge traffic. It’ll make getting to Karon Beach a lot smoother!
Ao Sane Beach
I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks, because the nearest store is quite a hike. I spent a bit too long looking for it and ended up starving! Pack some tasty treats to enjoy by the water.
Check the tide schedule before you go. I totally underestimated how high the tide came in and lost my favorite beach spot! Knowing the times can help you enjoy the beach better
If you're planning to snorkel, definitely bring your own gear! I rented some equipment, and it was overpriced for what I got. The coral and fish life are amazing, so you don't wanna miss out!
Kata Beach
If you want to enjoy a quiet swim, try to go after 4 PM when most tourists leave. The sunset views are stunning too, and it's so much more peaceful.
My advice is to avoid the sun loungers with umbrellas - they can charge you a fee! Just bring your towel and find a nice spot of sand to chill.
Kata Noi Beach
My advice is to check the tides before you go. The beach can get really narrow during high tide, which makes it less enjoyable for lounging and swimming.
If you're planning to catch the sunset, try to get there by 5 PM. That way, you can snag a good spot at one of the beach bars and enjoy a drink while watching the sky turn colors.
Nui Beach Club
I recommend getting there early, around 9 AM, to score the best sunbeds and enjoy the beach before it gets crowded. It makes for a much more relaxing experience!
Ra Wai Beach
If you want to avoid the crowds, my advice is to hit the beach by 8 AM. It was sooo peaceful then, and I got the best spot for my beach towel.
