Parks in France:
Field of Mars
If you want fewer crowds and better photos, aim to visit right before sunrise, around 6:30 AM. The Eiffel Tower looks stunning in the morning light and you can enjoy the peace before tourists swarm in.
La Villette
I recommend bringing a picnic! The lawns are perfect for lounging, and you can save some cash by eating there instead of in a restaurant.
If you plan to explore the area, wear comfortable shoes! There’s quite a bit of walking, and I wish I'd known that before my visit.
Tet d’Or Park
If you have kids there are several playground areas. I think it's best to visit those early in the day before they get crowded with families.
I recommend visiting early in the morning, like around 8 AM, to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and avoid the crowds... The park looks amazing with the morning light too!
I suggest bringing a camera, especially at the rose garden. The flowers are stunning, and I wish I took more photos when I was there. It's perfect for some Instagram shots!
Buttes-Chaumont
I suggest visiting Buttes-Chaumont early in the morning, around 8 AM, to enjoy the park with fewer crowds and to catch the beautiful sunrise over the lake.
Wear comfy shoes! There are lots of hills and paths that make the place feel like a mini-hike. I regretted wearing my new sneakers that weren’t meant for walking
Vanoise National Park
Orangerie Park
Take your time strolling through the little paths—it's easy to miss hidden gems like the butterfly garden and the little lake! My advice is to just wander and see where the paths lead you.
Park Monceau
I recommend exploring the paths a bit. The park has some hidden gems, like sculptures and quaint bridges, that you might miss if you stick to the main areas.
Gardens and Park of Versailles
Park Borely
Parking can be a nightmare, especially on weekends. I suggest using public transport or ride-sharing to save yourself the hassle. You’ll enjoy your visit way more without stressing over parking!
Garden Ile de Versailles
I recommend visiting in the morning, around 10 AM, to catch the gardens just as they open and avoid the crowd. The light is beautiful then too.
Don't forget to wear comfy shoes! The paths are lovely but can be a bit uneven. By the end of the day, my feet were sore, and I wished I wore sneakers instead.
