Hyde Park

Try to visit around 9 AM to beat the crowds. It’s so peaceful in the morning, and you can grab a good spot for a picnic later.

Bring a reusable water bottle! There are plenty of refill stations, and it saves you from constantly spending on drinks.

I suggest renting a bike for an hour; it's a great way to cover more ground and see all the beautiful areas without tiring yourself out.

Check out the free events happening in the park during your visit. I stumbled upon a yoga class and it was a fun way to spend an hour!
St James park

I recommend visiting St James Park early in the morning around 8 AM. It's way less crowded, and you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and see the swans without having to dodge tourists.

My advice is to check the park’s events schedule. I stumbled on a free outdoor concert during my visit—it was a pleasant surprise and made for a fun afternoon!

If you’re on a budget, pack a picnic! The park is perfect for it, and you can enjoy your lunch while watching the birds by the lake.

I think walking through the park towards Buckingham Palace is a must! The views are stunning, and you’ll get some awesome photos along the way, especially during sunset.
National Park Lake District

If you're into photography, golden hour is the way to go. I suggest starting your hikes around 7 PM for the best light and fewer crowds.

Bring layers! The weather can change super quickly, so I recommend packing a light rain jacket and some warm clothes even in summer.

Pack a good lunch! There aren't many options for food once you're out exploring, and trust me, a scenic picnic beats any overpriced snack from the shops
Regents Park
If you're into flowers, don't miss the rose garden, especially in late June. I went early July and regretted not seeing it in full bloom!

Keep an eye out for the Open Air Theatre! I stumbled upon a performance and it was a lovely surprise. You may want to book tickets in advance to snag the best seats.

i think it's best to start your day at the park around 9 am. that way, you can enjoy a peaceful walk before it gets crowded. i went later and found it a bit overwhelming.

I recommend renting a pedal boat on the Regent's Canal. It’s super fun and gives you a unique view of the park that's less crowded. Just skip the hot days it gets really busy!
Greenwich Park

Don't forget to check out the deer park area! I nearly missed it, but seeing the little deer in that natural setting was a real treat in the middle of the city.

I suggest taking a free walking tour if you’re up for it. You get unique insights about the park and its history! Just tip the guide whatever you think is fair.

Make sure you check the weather before you go; it can change quickly! I went on a sunny day but got caught in a quick shower, so bring a small umbrella just in case.

If you're planning on grabbing a coffee or snack, check out the cafe near the rose garden. Prices were reasonable and the view was lovely, much better than the kiosks!
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

My advice is to bring a picnic. There are loads of nice spots to relax, and it saves you some cash instead of eating at pricey cafes.

I suggest visiting on a weekday. The weekends can get super crowded, and you’ll not get to enjoy the views as much.

I think you should wear comfy shoes because you'll be walking a lot. The park is huge and there's so much to see.

Don’t miss the Lee Valley VeloPark! Rent a bike for a few hours. It's a fun way to explore, and you’ll get to see some hidden parts of the park.
Green Park

My advice is to bring a blanket! I had a lovely picnic, but I didn’t have one—had to sit on the grass directly. Next time, I'm definitely packing one!

When you enter the park, check out the path leading towards Buckingham Palace. It's a beautiful walk and super picturesque, perfect for those Insta shots!

If you want to experience the park at its best, aim to visit in spring. The cherry blossoms were absolutely stunning when I went, and I can't imagine it any other way.

Grab a snack before you go. The nearby cafes can be pricey, but you can find plenty of options if you walk a few minutes beyond the park. Trust me, it saved me a couple of pounds!
Holland Park

I recommend bringing a pair of binoculars if you’re into birdwatching. You’ll be surprised by how many different species you can spot – it was a nice little surprise for me!

Planning to take a break? The café can be pricey. I suggest bringing your own snacks. I learned that the hard way when I saw a sandwich was £9

I think the play area for kids is great, but it does get busy quickly. If you’re with kids, best to hit that up right after lunch, like around 1 PM, to avoid the crowds.
Cairngorms National Park

Don’t forget to bring a portable charger for your phone. You’ll want to take loads of pics, but connection can be spotty sometimes, and that drained my battery way quicker than I expected.

I suggest looking for local accommodations instead of big-chain hotels. We found a cozy B&B that gave us a great local experience and saved a good chunk of money too.
Royal Victoria Park

If you want to save some money, pack a picnic instead of heading to a café. There are plenty of lovely spots to enjoy your lunch – the park is huge!

I suggest visiting in the late afternoon, around 4 PM, just before sunset. The golden hour makes the park look magical, and it’s less crowded then!

Look out for seasonal events like outdoor movie nights or festivals. I stumbled upon one during my visit, and it added a fun twist to my day in the park!
