Snapper Rocks

Bring your own snacks and drinks, because the nearby cafes can be pretty pricey. I ended up spending way too much on a sandwich!

If you're not a surfer, don’t just watch – take a lesson! I thought it would be awkward, but the instructors are super chill and you'll have a blast.

I recommend exploring the rock pools at low tide. It's a fun way to spend some time and look at all the little sea creatures!
Lumber Punks Axe Throwing Brisbane

I suggest booking your session online in advance, especially if you're planning to go on weekends. It gets busy, and you don’t want to miss out.

I think it's a great idea to try the non-alcoholic beers they offer. It's a nice way to chill without feeling pressured to drink, and they taste pretty good too!
Rainbow Beach Horse Rides
Brisbane Cricket Ground

I recommend checking out the local pub scene nearby before the game; it's a great way to soak up the atmosphere and maybe grab a quick bite. I stumbled into a great place just a short walk from the ground.

I suggest wearing comfy shoes; the ground is huge, and you might end up walking more than you expect! I regretted wearing my nice shoes halfway through the day.

My advice is to avoid the pricier food inside. There’s a fantastic pizza joint just outside where I grabbed a slice; much cheaper and tasted way better than the stuff inside!
Rivergate Marina
GBR Helicopters

I suggest wearing layers. It can get pretty cool up there, especially if you're doing a longer flight. A light jacket makes a huge difference, and you won’t be stuck feeling chilly!

If you're thinking of bringing kids, check their age limits. I found it a bit frustrating to figure out the rules on-site; I wish I’d looked into that before going.
I recommend booking your flight in the morning, like around 9 AM. The views are clearer and less crowded, plus you’ll have the rest of the day to explore the area after the ride
Slickers Horse Riding
Laserforce
Gold Coast Wake Park

If you're a beginner, take a lesson first. The instructors are super chill and made me feel comfortable right away, which made a huge difference!
Don't forget to bring a towel and maybe a change of clothes! I regretted not having these after hitting the water a few times.
