Plan to spend at least 1.5 to 2 hours here. I rushed through thinking I'd see everything in an hour and totally missed some cool details!
If you can, visit on a weekday, especially around 3 PM. It's way less crowded and you can take your time snapping pics without too many People in the way.
Don't forget to check out the tea room. I thought it'd be overpriced, but it was actually pretty reasonable and such a nice atmosphere to relax in.
I recommend buying your tickets online to save some cash and skip the line. It really saves time, trust me!
The Oxford University Museum of Natural History
Don't miss the chance to try the cafe on-site. Their coffee is lovely, and it’s a great place to take a breather. I was surprised by the prices – not too bad either!
Canterbury Cathedral
Try to visit right when it opens at 9 am. I got to enjoy the place with fewer crowds, and it was way more peaceful to take photos!
If you're on a budget, consider bringing your own snacks. The cafe is a bit pricey, and while the views are great, I think you can find a better deal eating elsewhere.
I recommend grabbing a map at the entrance. It helped me navigate the layout and spot all the important sites without missing anything. Trust me, it's easy to get a bit lost in there!
My advice is to take your time exploring the gardens outside. I thought they would be just okay, but they're actually really lovely! I could have spent another hour just chilling there.
Dover Castle
Leeds Castle
Arundel Castle
Rochester Castle
Bodiam Castle
Make sure you wear comfy shoes! I didn't think it’d be so much walking around and climbing up those stairs can be a bit tricky. Got a bit worn out!
Check out the little gift shop before you leave. They have some unique souvenirs that aren’t available online. I found a really cool mug to take home
