Beaver Creek Ski & Snowboard Lessons

If you can, go for the 9 AM lessons. The slopes were way less crowded, and I got way more time on the snow. Plus, you can get lunch after, when places aren't packed.

I think it's worth checking out the group lesson options. I went solo and ended up making friends while learning, which made the experience even better. Don't be shy!

My advice is to get your gear rental done the night before. It saved me major hassle the next morning when I just wanted to hit the slopes instead of waiting in line.
Snowmass Buttermilk

I suggest checking out the local food trucks instead of the sit-down restaurants, as you'll save money and get to try some tasty bites on the go. The variety is awesome!

I recommend getting to the slopes by 8:30 AM to snag a good parking spot and avoid the crowds. The morning light is also amazing for photos!

My advice is to rent your ski gear from shops in Snowmass Village instead of on the mountain. It's cheaper and less stressful, plus you can take your time trying on stuff.

I think taking a morning lesson is a great idea, especially for beginners. The instructors are super helpful and will make you feel more confident, trust me, it's worth it.
Iron Buffalo Motorcycle Training

I think it’s worth investing in the extra training gear. They have rentals but having your own stuff made me feel way more comfortable and confident on the bike

Bring some snacks and water! You’ll be out on the range for a while, and I totally underestimated how much I'd need to keep my energy up.

Ask lots of questions during the training! The instructors love to share their tips and tricks, and it really helps with the learning process. I learned so much more by just being curious.

Pro tip: check the weather for the week before you go! I didn't think to do this and ended up with a subpar snowboarding day. Conditions can change fast, so plan your days accordingly!

My advice is to rent your equipment off-site. I found a local shop with way better prices than the on-mountain rentals. Plus, it's super close to all the main lifts!

I highly recommend hitting the slopes right when they open at 8:30 am. You'll miss the crowds and get fresh powder if there's any! It's a totally diff experience skiing with fewer people.

I think grabbing some snacks and drinks at the grocery store before you go up to the mountain really saves money. Food at the resort can be pricey, and you might wanna have a quick bite on the slopes.
4Corners Riversports

I recommend packing snacks and drinks for your trip. You'll be out for a while, and it saves you money instead of buying overpriced stuff on-site.
My advice is to check the weather before you go... It can change quickly and you don’t want to get caught in the rain without a plan

If you're a beginner, I think taking a short lesson first is totally worth it. It really boosted my confidence on the water
Snowmass Sports

Invest in a good pair of goggles with interchangeable lenses. I got stuck with bad visibility one day, and it really put a damper on my experience.

I suggest trying out the lesser-known trails to avoid crowds. I found some hidden gems that were just stunning and way less busy than the main runs!
Ski Haus

I'd suggest bringing your own gear if you can; the rentals can add up! However, if you do rent, definitely book ahead to save time and money on your trip.
My advice is to avoid weekend mornings if possible. I skied on a Saturday at 9 AM and it was a mad house! Go on a weekday or around lunch for way less crowds.

I think getting an afternoon lift ticket can be a total steal. I went at 1 PM and enjoyed the slopes almost free of waiting, plus the views were just stunning!
Steamboat Ski & Bike Kare

I recommend getting a full equipment package rental; it’s often cheaper than renting items separately and saves loads of time. Plus you get everything you need in one go.

I suggest hitting the slopes early, like around 8 AM. The crowds are way lighter, which means shorter lines and more time on the snow.
Fleischer Sport

If you're a beginner, don't hesitate to ask about their lesson packages; they're really tailored for all levels. I thought I could wing it, but lessons made such a difference!
My advice is to hit the slopes early, around 8 AM. You'll have way fewer crowds and can enjoy those fresh tracks before everyone else arrives.
Little Kickers Swim School

I suggest booking a class ahead of time. I didn't, and they were full for the time I wanted, which was a bummer. Better to secure your spot!

I recommend checking their social media for specials. You might find promotions or discounts that can save you some cash on your next visit.

My advice is to bring snacks and water for after the lesson. Sometimes it gets super busy, and you’ll want to refuel while waiting for the next class.
