Architecture in Strasbourg:
Strasbourg Cathedral
If you can, grab a Strasbourg Pass beforehand. It not only gives you access to the cathedral but also discounts to nearby attractions, saving you some cash.
Place Kleber
Don’t miss the opportunity to snap pics at dusk. The light hits the buildings beautifully and it’s way less crowded. You might want to come back around 7 PM - it was perfect for me!
Be ready for some crowds, especially on weekends. If you can, go during the weekday, preferably Tuesday or Wednesday, when it's much quieter. I regretted not planning that way.
Barrage Vauban
My advice is to grab a bite at nearby cafés before heading up to the viewing platform. It's a bit pricey in the area, but you’ll save money if you eat elsewhere
Maison Kammerzell
Covered Bridges
Definitely try to visit in the morning around 9 AM. The light hitting the bridges is amazing for photos and you'll avoid the crowds. Trust me, it’s worth getting up a bit earlier!
My advice is to bring some snacks because the eateries nearby can be a bit pricey. A small picnic by the water is way more enjoyable without breaking the bank!
Big Island
You'll save some cash if you grab a bite at local cafés instead of the touristy spots. I found a great little bakery nearby that had delicious treats and was super affordable.
Saint-Thomas Church
Wear comfortable shoes and take your time to walk around. The intricate details in the architecture deserve to be appreciated up close, and you don't want to rush through it!
Saint-Pierre Le Jeune Church
My advice is to grab a snack before you go, as there aren't many cafes nearby. I wish I had brought something since I started feeling a bit hungry during my visit.
I suggest visiting around 10 AM when it opens; the light streaming through those stained glass windows is something else! Plus, you'll avoid the crowds and get better shots for your Instagram.
European Parliament
I recommend booking your tour in advance online; I saved a ton of time skipping the long ticket lines! Also, there’s a cool audio guide you can download that made my visit so much more interesting.
Palais Rohan
I recommend visiting on a weekday if you can... I went on a Saturday and it was super busy! The crowds made it hard to enjoy everything properly... Monday or Tuesday could be quieter
