Nature Reserves Places Map
Nature Reserves in Peru:
Salt Mine of Maras
Nor Yauyos-Cochas Landscape Reserve
Tambopata National Reserve
Aguas Turquesas Millpu
My advice is to wear water shoes, because the rocks can be super slippery. I made the mistake of wearing regular flip-flops and ended up tumbling a bit. Save yourself the risk!
Taquile Island
Bring cash! There are no ATMs on the island, and many places, including restaurants, mostly accept only cash. I ran into trouble when I wanted to buy some local crafts.
Try to learn a few words of Quechua or Spanish before your visit. The locals appreciate it so much, and it really makes your interactions more meaningful. I noticed a big difference in how friendly people were when I attempted to speak their language
Valle Rojo
Laguna Piquecocha
My advice is to visit in the early morning around 7 AM. The sunrise views are breathtaking, and you'll avoid the crowd that comes later in the day. Trust me, it's worth it!
