Jomtien Beach

My advice is to try the local street food instead of the beach restaurants. I had some amazing sticky rice and mango from a stall near the beach that was super cheap but delicious!

There’s a great night market near Jomtien Beach. Don’t miss it! I stumbled upon it by accident and found awesome souvenirs and snacks. Prices were so much better than in the regular shops!

I recommend visiting the beach on a weekday if you can. Weekends are packed and you might end up sitting on the sand like a sardine. Plus, it's just a lot more chill during the week!
Samae Beach

I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks. The beachside vendors can be a bit pricey, and I wish I would’ve packed a cooler with some goodies. It saved me some cash later!

I recommend going in the late afternoon, around 4 PM, for a more relaxed vibe. The sun is still nice, but it’s way less crowded than at noon. Trust me, it's way more enjoyable!
Railay Beach

Check out the sunset at Phra Nang Cave Beach. It’s a lesser-known spot, and trust me, it’s way less crowded and the colors are absolutely breathtaking!

I suggest bringing some cash for local food stalls since most places don’t take cards... I almost got stuck hungry because I relied too much on my card!

For budget-friendly lodging, I found some cozy bungalows just a 10-min walk from the main area. Save your cash for beach activities instead!
Nai Harn Beach

I suggest renting a kayak for a fun way to explore the nearby islands! It’s super affordable and gives you a different view of the gorgeous coastline

I recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks to save some cash. The beachside vendors can be pricey, and having your own stash makes it easier to chill out longer.

My advice is to arrive by 8 AM if you can. The beach is stunningly calm in the morning, and you’ll have more space to set up your spot without the crowd.

If you plan to swim, check the tides beforehand. I didn’t and ended up caught in a rip current, which was a bit scary. Swimming is a lot better when you time it right.
Freedom Beach
My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The beach vendors can be pricey, and I regretted not packing a cooler with some goodies from the market!

I suggest taking a longtail boat from Patong Beach it's super fun and you'll dodge the traffic! The price ranges around 300-400 baht so haggle a bit don't settle on the first offer!

I think you should pack some beach shoes or flip flops. The sand gets really hot by midday, and trust me, I burnt my feet last time—ouch!

I recommend arriving around 8 AM. The beach is much quieter before the crowds roll in, and you can snap some great photos with no one in the background!
Karon Beach

Check the tide schedule before you go. I went during high tide and missed out on some areas of the beach that are great for sunbathing when the tide is low.

Pack your own snacks and drinks to save money at the beach – the local vendors can be pricey! I took a cooler bag and it really helped keep my budget in check.

Don’t forget to explore the beachfront eateries! I accidentally found this fantastic little place serving fresh seafood – way better than the crowded tourist spots. Try the grilled squid!

Bring some cash! Not all beach vendors accept cards and having cash handy for beach chairs or food means no hassle. I learned this the hard way.
Ao Sane Beach
I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks, because the nearest store is quite a hike. I spent a bit too long looking for it and ended up starving! Pack some tasty treats to enjoy by the water.

Check the tide schedule before you go. I totally underestimated how high the tide came in and lost my favorite beach spot! Knowing the times can help you enjoy the beach better

If you're planning to snorkel, definitely bring your own gear! I rented some equipment, and it was overpriced for what I got. The coral and fish life are amazing, so you don't wanna miss out!
Patong Beach

Make sure to haggle a bit when shopping at local markets. I learned the hard way by paying full price at first but after a couple of tries I got things for almost half off!

Before you jump into any adult entertainment spots, stroll along the beach first. I found some great restaurants with live music and a fantastic vibe that were way more enjoyable than some crowded clubs!

Use the local tuk-tuks to get around at night, but always negotiate the fare beforehand to avoid getting ripped off... I saved a ton of cash doing this instead of relying on fixed taxi fares

Check out the local happy hour deals at bars between 5 PM and 7 PM; you can score some great drinks at half price and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. I had a blast at a bar I stumbled onto during that time!
Kata Beach

I suggest trying the local street food instead of high-end restaurants. I had the best Pad Thai from a stall near the beach for just 50 baht!

Watch out for the sun! Bring a good sunscreen. I didn't, and I ended up looking like a lobster after just one afternoon. Ouch!

If you want to enjoy a quiet swim, try to go after 4 PM when most tourists leave. The sunset views are stunning too, and it's so much more peaceful.
My advice is to avoid the sun loungers with umbrellas - they can charge you a fee! Just bring your towel and find a nice spot of sand to chill.
Koh Lipe

If you want the best beach vibes, head to Sunset Beach around 5 PM for breathtaking views and quieter spots. It's the perfect time to relax and take photos without the crowds.

Book your longtail boat ride at the pier directly instead of going through tour agencies... You save a lot of money and still get to explore the stunning nearby islands

For some authentic food without breaking the bank, check out the local street vendors by Walking Street in the evening. I had the best pad Thai ever and it was super affordable!

Don't forget to bring some cash, as not all places accept cards. I found this out the hard way when I couldn't buy some awesome souvenirs.
