Flamenco Beach

I recommend checking out the snorkeling spots near the rocks. I discovered some beautiful fish, but I wish I had my own gear instead of renting it – way cheaper in the long run!

My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The beach food isn't bad, but it can be pricey, and you don't want to break the bank just for a cold drink!
Caracas Beach

I suggest bringing some water shoes... The rocky areas can catch you off guard if you're just in flip flops... Trust me, I learned the hard way

I recommend arriving around 9 AM to snag a good spot on the beach before it gets too crowded. The mornings are lovely and peaceful plus you can score some prime sunbathing real estate!

My advice is to explore the nearby restaurants a bit instead of just the beach shacks. We found a charming local place just a short walk away with way better prices and tastier options!
Tamarindo Beach

If you want to save some cash on meals, check out the local food trucks. They serve awesome Puerto Rican food at a fraction of the price of the sit-down places. I loved the mofongo from one of the stalls!

Bring your own snorkeling gear if you can! The underwater life was amazing, and renting gear can get pricey. Plus, you'll have it handy whenever you want to explore.
Black Sand Beach

I think you should wear water shoes – the black sand can get pretty hot! I regret not wearing some and my feet were burning!

My advice is to arrive around 9 AM. The morning light is perfect for photos and it's way less crowded than later in the day.

I recommend checking out the nearby trails before heading home. We stumbled upon some amazing views that weren't in any guidebook!
Sun Bay Beach

I recommend exploring the trails behind Sun Bay; they’re beautiful and usually not crowded. I didn’t realize they were there until later, and I wished I had gone sooner!
Don’t forget to grab a beach umbrella or rent one. The sun can be really strong, and I got burned way faster than I expected. Shade really makes a difference.
Zoni Beach

My advice is to bring some cash for parking. I learned the hard way that not all parking spots take cards, so be prepared and save yourself the hassle!
La Chiva Beach

Bring your own snacks and drinks! The beach is beautiful, but the only nearby food options can be pricey and limited. I saved a ton by packing a cooler with some sandwiches and drinks.
Playa Tsarlos Rosario
My advice is to visit around 4 PM if you can. The sunset is beautiful and way less crowded. Plus, you might even catch some locals setting up for evening fun.

I suggest bringing some snacks and drinks because the beach can get pretty low on options. A cooler with some sandwiches really saved me from having to leave
Resaca Beach
I recommend checking out the beach early, around 8 AM. The sunrise is gorgeous, and you'll beat the crowds plus get the best pick of beach spots!

My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The nearby shops can be a bit pricey, so packing your own will save you some cash and help you stay fueled for a day of fun
Punta Arenas Beach

I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks. The beach is beautiful but the nearby vendors can be pricey. I ended up spending way more than I intended on just water and snacks!
