Bring some cash! Not all beach vendors accept cards and having cash handy for beach chairs or food means no hassle. I learned this the hard way.

If you’re renting a scooter, avoid the main road during rush hours (8-9 AM and 5-6 PM) to dodge traffic. It’ll make getting to Karon Beach a lot smoother!

Check out the local happy hour deals at bars between 5 PM and 7 PM; you can score some great drinks at half price and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. I had a blast at a bar I stumbled onto during that time!

My advice is to avoid the sun loungers with umbrellas - they can charge you a fee! Just bring your towel and find a nice spot of sand to chill.

For some authentic food without breaking the bank, check out the local street vendors by Walking Street in the evening. I had the best pad Thai ever and it was super affordable!

I think you should arrive at Kalim Beach by 8 AM to snag a perfect spot before the crowd hits. It'll give you a chance to enjoy the peace and quiet for a bit.

I recommend wearing good hiking shoes. I went with flip-flops and had a rough time on the trails – not fun! Proper shoes make a huge difference
